What Questions to ask a Wedding Photographer
So very often I come across articles which ask what questions to ask a wedding photographer before hiring.
Heck, I get the same questions over and over myself.
But most of the time, these questions don’t really allow you to really connect with your photographer on the level you need to be before hiring.
It’s great asking questions about how long they’ve been in business and what kit they are using but all technical aspects aside, you don’t want to be hiring a robot to photograph your wedding day that’s super awkward and has no people skills.
On the other hand, if you ask the right questions, you’ll get to know whether you can trust your photographer for the artist that they are, whether you have common grounds and whether the day will flow whilst working with your photographer.
If you’re a bride or a couple looking for questions to ask your prospective wedding photographer, I’d say to ask some of these questions to ensure you love the artist in the photographer as much as you love their photography portfolio…
What do you do in your spare time?
What made you want to be a wedding photographer?
What’s the most embarrassing experience you had at a wedding?
What’s one of your favourite wedding photography memories?
These questions will give you such varied responses that you’ll quickly get to know whether the photographer is the perfect one for your wedding day.
Although I started as a Cheshire & Manchester wedding photographer, the business has grown into many areas which in return the experiences have changed my perspective.
I’d love to share what’s unique about me as a wedding photographer, as I’m sure other photographers would too.
