Relaxed, Discreet & Documentary Proposal Photography Manchester
Proposal Photography Manchester
Planning to propose?
Whether you’re getting down on one knee in Manchester, somewhere beautiful in Cheshire, or at a location that means something to you both, I’ll discreetly capture the moment you ask the big question – and everything that happens afterwards.
I’m Priti, a Manchester-based photographer with over 10 years of experience behind the camera. My background in music, portrait and commercial photography has taught me to anticipate moments, work discreetly and capture genuine reactions as they happen.
My proposal photography is natural, cinematic and documentary-led. I’m not interested in staging the big moment or making you repeat it for the camera.
You get one chance to ask the question.
I’ll be there to capture it.
Planning a surprise proposal? Get in touch and tell me what you have in mind.

Your Proposal, Your Story
The actual proposal might only take a few seconds, but there’s so much happening around it.
The nerves before you ask.
The look on their face when they realise what’s happening.
The moment they say yes.
The hug afterwards.
The laughter, happy tears and that slightly surreal feeling of suddenly being engaged.
These are the moments I want you to remember.
Once the surprise is over, I’ll also photograph some relaxed portraits of you together. Nothing overly posed or formal – just the two of you enjoying the moment and celebrating what’s just happened.
Think of it as your first little engagement session.

A Discreet Proposal Photographer
One of the biggest questions I get is:
“How will you photograph the proposal without my partner knowing?”
The answer is: we plan it carefully beforehand.
Before your proposal, we’ll talk through your location, timings and exactly how you’re planning to ask the question. We’ll work out where you’ll be and where I need to position myself so I can get the photographs without giving the surprise away.
On the day, I’ll arrive early and get myself into position.
Then I’ll blend into the surroundings and let you get on with the important bit.
I won’t interrupt the moment or ask you to do anything differently.
No staging.
No “can you do that again?”
Just the real proposal, exactly as it happened.

Proposal Photography Manchester & Beyond
I’m based in Manchester and photograph proposals throughout Greater Manchester, Cheshire, the Peak District, the North West and further afield.
Your proposal could be somewhere in the city, a favourite park, a beautiful garden, a country estate, a restaurant, a viewpoint or somewhere completely personal to the two of you.
Some couples already know exactly where they want to propose.
Others have the ring but are still trying to figure out the rest!
If you’re not sure about the location or how to make the logistics work, I’m happy to chat through your plans and help you work out the photography side of things.

How It Works
01 – The Blueprint
Once you’re booked, we’ll have a quick chat about your plans.
We’ll work through the location, timing, where you’re planning to pop the question and where I can position myself discreetly.
If there are any tricky logistics involved, we’ll figure those out together beforehand so you can concentrate on the important bit.
02 – The Moment
I’ll arrive early and get myself into position before you arrive.
Then it’s over to you.
I’ll keep a low profile and photograph everything as it naturally happens – the anticipation, the question, the reaction, the hugs, the happy tears and that all-important yes!
No staging.
No asking you to repeat anything.
Just the real moment.
03 – The Celebration
Once the secret is out, we’ll take some time for relaxed portraits together.
Think of this as your first little engagement session – wandering, chatting, laughing and enjoying the fact that you’ve just got engaged.
I’ll give you gentle direction when you need it, but I’ll keep things natural and relaxed.
04 – The Photographs
Your photographs are professionally edited in my signature cinematic, documentary style and delivered through a private online gallery.
Depending on your collection, you’ll also receive sneak peeks, priority delivery and a beautiful physical keepsake.

Real Proposal Stories
Want to see what a real proposal looks like?
Here are some recent proposal and engagement sessions I’ve photographed, from surprise proposals in beautiful gardens to romantic sessions around Chatsworth.
Lucas & Daniella – Chatsworth House
High school sweethearts from Florida who went their separate ways before reconnecting years later, Lucas and Daniella were visiting the UK as part of a European trip when Lucas planned a surprise proposal at Chatsworth House Gardens.

Surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery, Llyn Dinas made an incredible backdrop for this intimate proposal – followed by relaxed portraits celebrating the newly engaged couple.
