For couples planning something beautifully personal, I’m a Manchester-based photographer creating relaxed, cinematic imagery with a refined editorial feel – from intimate city ceremonies and elegant Cheshire weddings to destination-inspired celebrations, countryside engagements and unforgettable proposals.
My approach combines documentary storytelling with considered, atmospheric portraits. Nothing overly staged. Nothing that feels like a production.

An engagement session doesn’t have to feel like a traditional photoshoot.
It can be an afternoon exploring somewhere beautiful together. A walk through an estate. Golden hour in the Peak District. Wandering through Manchester before dinner. Or simply finding somewhere that means something to you both.
I combine natural documentary moments with gentle direction when you need it, creating photographs that feel relaxed, intimate and editorial without becoming overly posed.
For couples travelling to the North West, I’m also happy to photograph sessions in some of the region’s most beautiful landscapes and estates.

Some of the most meaningful photographs happen before your partner even knows I’m there.
I photograph proposals across the North West and beyond, working discreetly with you beforehand to plan the location, timing and positioning so that I can capture the moment naturally.
From elegant country estates such as Chatsworth and Arley Hall to dramatic landscapes in North Wales and the Peak District, I can help you plan a proposal that feels personal rather than staged.
After the question has been asked and the answer is yes, we’ll take some time for beautifully relaxed newly-engaged portraits – giving you more than just the photograph of the proposal itself.

A cinematic eye with a personal approach
I’ve spent more than a decade working professionally as a photographer, with a background spanning music, portrait, commercial and wedding photography.
My work has been published in Kerrang! and NME, alongside photography for organisations including Manchester International Festival, Factory International, Manchester Museum and the British Museum.
That experience has given me a love of creating photographs with atmosphere and personality.
But weddings are different from music photography.
There’s no stage.
No second take.
And that’s exactly what I love about them.
The best photographs often happen in between the things you planned.
